This recipe is perfect for Super Bowl Sunday!

1 lb package frozen meatballs, thawed
28 oz can crushed tomatoes
1 cup water
About 2 Tbsp. Tastefully Simple Spinach & Herb Dip Mix
About 2 Tbsp. Tastefully Simple Onion Onion
4 oz (1 Cup) shredded mozzarella cheese

Spinach & Herb Dip Mix

Combine first 5 ingredients in a greased slow cooker.  Cover, heat on low 2-3 hours or up to 8 hours.  Sprinkle cheese over top just before serving, replace cover and cook until cheese melts.

1 cup pecan halves

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 Tbsp olive oil


1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar


1 Tbsp Tastefully Simple Warm in the Oven Mulling Spice

Candied Pecans:
Prepare a large sheet of parchment paper or foil for cooling pecans.

Stir sugar, mulling spice, oil, and vinegar in a large skillet over medium heat until sugar melts and syrup bubbles, about 3 minutes. Mix in pecans and stir until nuts are toasted and syrup coats them evenly, 5-6 minutes. Turn nuts out onto prepared parchment paper, sprinkle with a dash more mulling spice (optional, but if you don’t try it you won’t know what you are missing) and separate warm sticky nuts using 2 forks. Cool completely. Pecans can be prepared way in advance (up to 1 month) and stored in an airtight container.

Serve garnished on a mixed greens salad tossed with sliced pears or tart granny smith apples

Capers are little Mediterranean pickled flower buds that give any sauce or dish a bit of a tang, but they’re not spicy at all. After the buds are harvested by hand, they are dried in the sun, and then pickled in vinegar and salt. The curing brings out their tangy lemony flavor, much the same as green olives. They make Our Tastefully Simple Artichoke and Caper Slow Cooker Sauce delicious and unique!

Use this sauce in a crock-pot with chicken or use it with pasta, or try the meatball recipe below, either way, it’s perfect! Let me know how you use it!

Italian Meatballs:
2 lbs frozen Italian meatballs, thawed
1 jar Artichoke & Caper Slow Cooker Sauce
8 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese

Place thawed meatballs and Artichoke & Caper Slow Cooker Sauce in a greased slow cooker.  Heat on low until meatballs are hot: sprinkle with cheese.  Cover slow cooker: heat on low until cheese melts.  Makes 6-8 servings.
